This laser eye refractive surgery equipment enclosure demonstrates Reaction Injection Molded (RIM) flexibility in design and manufacturing.
After struggling with cast urethane parts the OEM manufacturer asked PMI to design and mold components with structural integrity and long lasting cosmetic appearance.
With its' RIM manufacturing expertise, PMI chose Prism® CM200 solid polyurethane rim system, with a UL94 5V rating at .125 wall thickness, as an ideal solution for this application.
