This Reaction Injection Molded (RIM) molded wheel chair seat replaces a fabricated wood seat that required several operations to produce. We molded in all attachment points and the rubber cushion retainer in one molding operation.
This application demonstrates RIM's ability to combine with other materials and parts to produce a composite end product.
An additional benefit to the PMI wheel chair seat is that it provides structural support for the occupant.
